Prostate Infection is the main cause of prostatitis, as evidenced by thousands of patients of prostatitis who have visited our prostatitis center in the last twenty some years. Although there are interference that prostatitis is not caused by infection, such as inaccurate testing results that always show negative for prostatitis, sending misleading message to patients. Prostate doctors make up excuse for not able to clear pain and symptoms of prostatitis. Our prostate dr. and our prostatitis center have concluded that prostate infection is the only cause of prostatitis.
Causes of Prostate Infection in Prostatitis
Prostate infection is caused mainly external bacteria infection, if you have STDs and are not properly treated, bacteria infect the prostate gland and cause infection. Some patients of prostatitis don't have STDs or dangerous sexual behavior, the cause is vague, however, the cause could be explained in various ways such as they may contract the infection from in other way, such as public toilet, or the infection could be internal that imbalance of bacteria cause growth of certain bacteria and infect the prostate and cause prostatitis. Sometimes, sudden drop in immunity could induce prostatitis such as cold, fever. etc.
Prostate Infection of Prostatitis Is Gaining Popularity
Prostatitis is spreading fast in many countries nowadays, mainly due to the high incident rate of STDs, and the abuse of oral antibiotics make it difficult to stop prostate infection. Many patients start searching for a real cure after numerous visits to the local prostate doctors. Prostatitis is also the main cause of infertility, erectile dysfunction.
PROSTATITIS: Infection of Prostatitis
Infection of prostatitis causes symptoms and pain in the prostate, inflammation and enlargement of prostate are common side effects in prostatitis.
Prostatitis Test (Prostate):
First, prostate fluid is collected for microscope analysis, if we find white blood cells 10-15/HP, it means ten to fifteen white blood cells are found in one view of microscope. We then check lecithin count, it is usually 75% of normal amount or less, the Lecithin indicator is +++, it means the number lecithin is reduced to 75%. We also have ultrasound scan on the prostate. if prostate is swollen, obviously enlarged, inequality on both sides of prostate, with some blockage or hardening, even calcified spots. Patients with the above pain and symptoms are most likely infected with prostatitis by one or more of the following bacteria: Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, fungi and Trichomonad.
White blood cells 10-15/HP
Prostate fluid is collected from urethra opening in DRE exam, then it is analyzed under microscope to check for presence of white blood cells. If prostatitis is present, white blood cell count is in the range of 10-15, that indicates a large amount of white blood cells are present in prostate fluid to fight prostate infection.
Lecithin +++
Another indicator for prostatitis is the lecithin amount, lecithin is the nutrition for the prostate, if the amount is reduced, it means the prostate is with infection. Normally prostate infected with prostatitis contains only 75% of lecithin, sometimes even 50% for severe prostate infection.
Ultrasound scan
Enlarged prostate, inequality on both sides of prostate, bph, blockage, lumps, hardening and calcification can be detected with ultrasound scan, scan allow prostate doctor to determine degree of infection of prostatitis , and assist in accurate prostatitis injections.
Prostatitis Symptoms:
Prostatitis cause a chain of symptoms and pain in the prostate and genital organs. frequent urination, urgent urination, pain or burning urination, urinary retention, perineum pain, milky urine, bloated pain in rectal area, bloated pain in lower abdomen, chronic pelvic pain. These symptoms and pain are important indicators of prostatitis.
The cause of these pain and symptoms is that infection and blockage cause enlarged prostate to squeeze prostatic urethra, prostatic urethra becomes smaller and partially blocked, and cause urinary symptoms, enlarged prostate also compress nerves and cause chronic pain in the abdomen, pelvic, perineum area.
PROSTATITIS: Infection of Seminal Vesicles
Prostatitis Test (Semen):
Semen is collected for analysis, if we find white blood cell WBC 5/HP, that means white blood cells are present in semen which is abnormal, if we find some red blood cells, that is also abnormal, normally you should find no white blood cells or red blood cells in semen. Bacteria compete with sperms for nutrition and cause bad sperm mobility. We also have ultrasound scan on seminal vesicles and find that seminal vesicles are swollen, some serious cases even have calcified seminal vesicles. Patients of prostatitis with the above pain and symptoms are most likely to have infection on seminal vesicles, by Chlamydia, Mycoplasma or bacteria.
If infection of seminal vesicles is more serious than infection of prostatitis, the pattern of pain and symptoms are slightly different, you may have more pain and symptoms on thighs, legs, feet.
WBC 5/HP
Semen sample is collected from patient and analyzed under microscope, white blood cell count is 5 or more, that indicates the abnormal number of white blood cells present in the seminal vesicles due to bacteria infection, healthy semen contains no white blood cells.
Some red blood cells
Red blood cells are present in semen in cases with both prostatitis and infection of seminal vesicles. Blockage in seminal vesicles easily cause blood in semen.
Prostatitis Symptoms:
Pain and symptoms of seminal vesicle infection are different from
prostatitis, color of semen is light yellow, sometimes blood in semen, longer liquefying time, some hard grains are observed in semen, also have pain during and after ejaculation, pain in upper thighs, pain in lower waist, reduced sexual desire.
Seminal vesicles are important organs for sperm nutrition, if they are infected, bacteria compete with sperms for nutrition, toxin produced by bacteria also cause yellow semen color. Unlike prostate gland, it is easy to have blood in seminal vesicles when infected, so some blood in semen is common, long liquefying time of semen means the fluid produced in seminal vesicles is abnormal, hard grains in semen are caused by cyst and blockage in seminal vesicles from infection.
In addition, pain during and after injection is caused by contraction of seminal vesicles and prostate, making the infected area more painful, prostate infection consumes energy and affects function of prostate and cause reduced sexual desire. Pain in upper thighs and pain in lower waist is caused by compression of nerves by enlarged seminal vesicles.
PROSTATITIS: Infection of Vas Deferens and Epididymis
Prostatitis Test:
Symptoms of infection of vas deferens and epididymis are different from prostatitis. Since epididymis and vas deferens are infected, sperms are also affected, so semen quality is bad, and with low white blood cell count. Since blockage is accumulated in vas deferens, and epididymis, these organs are thicker than usual, and have pain when pressed. In extreme prostatitis cases, we observe some swollen lump in epididymis. All above prostatitis cases are most likely infected with Mycoplasma, Chlamydia and Escherichia.
Infection of vas deferens and epididymis seriously damage sperm quality and semen quality because of toxin and competition for nutrition from bacteria, white blood cell count is low because body immunity don't react very sensitively to certain types of bacteria, vas deferens and epididymis are thicker due to blockage in these organs. Pain and infection always come in a pair so it is very common that pain sensation also present in these organs when pressed, sometimes when blockage is too serious, swollen lumps are also detected due to heavy blockage.
Prostatitis Symptoms:
Pain in groin area, pain in testicles, weak ejaculation, pain in upper thighs, pain in waist.
Symptoms and pain from infection of vas deferens and epididymis are different from prostatitis, when epididymis is infected, the testicles also have pain. Since part of vas deferens are near the groin area, the groin area is very painful due to swelling of vas deferens. Pain in the waist is also caused by blockage in vas deferens. Since the ejaculatory duct is blocked, semen ejaculation is very weak and the volume of semen is also reduced.
