Epididymitis is the infection of epididymis. It is caused by bacteria infection from urethra, and then spread to epididymis. Epididymitis always come with prostatitis and infection of seminal vesicle. Oral antibiotics don't work on epididymitis because the infection in prostate always come back. We have treated many cases of epididymitis, many have prostatitis too, and all of them have bacteria infection.
Since prostate glands and epididymis are closely connected, the infection of one always cause the infection of the other. Our data show that patients confirmed with epididymitis always have some degree of prostatitis, in many cases, the symptoms of both organs are severe.
Prostatitis treatment with injection can be used to treat epididymitis. In the early stage, epididymitis can be treated with oral antibiotics, however, if recurrence happened many times, the problem is not in the epididymitis, it is the prostate glands. Since prostatitis is difficult to treat, the infection of the prostate glands spread to epididymis and cause recurrence. In addition, blockage and calcification also could occur in epididymis, so early treatment always could avoid complications later.
Prostatitis treatment with injection can be used for serious or recurrent epididymitis because injections go directly into the infected area and 'soak' epididymis for many weeks. In the meantime, the injections also tackle the prostate glands. Prostatitis must be cured first before epididymitis can be successfully cured. Once prostate infection is cleared, epididymis is much easy to get cured. Blockage and calcification can be solved with unblocking prostatitis treatment.
